Hello, I'm a 15 year old student from the Netherlands, sorry for the English. Our school is obviously closed right now so we need to follow lessons online. Most of my teachers actually do this and.
In my honest option i think teachers should not give homework because 1 Almost all student have actives after school and then they don’t get home until 8 and then they don’t have time to do homework. Also because sometime if you don’t finish actives until 8 then you wont have to to do your homework and then if you have a lot of homework then that would be bad because then you won’t get.
Teachers should not tell students, “Just look at the description.” Careful explanations take time, so if you value your students’ homework, then you should also value the time it takes to give them a chance to understand it. Give students time to review the assignment details carefully before they leave. Also give them a chance to ask you.
It also give the teacher some time to get to know the class. If the new teacher came in at the end of last year or since September this year then it is possible to write a reasonable reference at this point. However, the teacher should be cut some slack e.g. if a couple of homework do not get marked since it is extra work for them.
Gifted children with undiagnosed disabilities may be confused and even embarrassed by the problems they have understanding concepts or doing their homework. It is much less psychologically and emotionally threatening to avoid doing the homework than it is to do it and fail at it. If they don't try, they can easily convince themselves that had they done the homework, they would have done it well.
You bet your ass teachers have favorites. Dead giveaway: When the teacher asks a question and kids all of the sudden become too fascinated with their spiral-bound notebook to look up.
Some teachers see homework as evidence of learning. This is true, but it's formative evidence at best. As such, it is never to be used in the final summative grade, or if used, it should be used.
